When extra coffee won't suffice, intercession for college students facing finals...

St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for them!

Anyone know a college student who is right about now pulling all-nighters, drinking crazy amounts of espresso, and is on a first-name basis with the pizza delivery guy?
Ah, exam prep time. Seems like just yesterday. Twitch. Shudder. I still get that feeling of panic in my gut when I think about it.
There are countless reasons why I wish I lived my faith more when I was in college myself. But being able to turn to the saints for help is pretty darned high on that list. I’m quite certain that the Franciscan mystic, St. Joseph of Cupertino — patron of test-takers — would have been a dear friend.
On behalf of the scholars in your life, it’s worth checking out this beloved saint who was not the sharpest crayon in the box, but loved God so much that he often would levitate when he prayed.
And pass along this prayer to the students you love who could used some heavenly intercession (who couldn’t?) …
O Great St. Joseph of Cupertino, who while on earth did obtain from God the grace to be asked at your examination only the questions you knew, obtain for me a like favor in the examinations for which I am now preparing. In return, I promise to make you known and cause you to be invoked. Through Christ our Lord. St. Joseph of Cupertino, Pray for us. Amen.
