Good Afternoon,
We ask that you keep in your prayers the family of parishioner Laverne Hogan, who passed away Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Hogan lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Butch Stephenson. The Stephensons are also members, as is their son Patrick. Mrs. Hogan faithfully attended Mass, usually on Saturday, until she was physically unable, and was one of our senior parishioners.
Visitation for Mrs. Hogan will be from 9-12 Saturday, June 18th, at Hall Taylor Funeral Home, with Deacon Gerry presiding at her funeral service at 11:30. She will be buried at St. Michael's Cemetary in Louisville. The Stephensons have declined our offer of a bereavement meal.
May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.
All are encouraged to attend the Prayerful Sending Service (not a Mass), at 7:00PM Sunday at St. Francis Xavier in Mt. Washington, to offer thanksgiving for Fr. Scott's ministry to the two parishes and to pray for his continued ministry to the Church. Light refreshments will be served afterwards in their parish hall.
