Keep praying: Eric Legrand, former Rutgers football player, will lead team onto field before WVU game

Washington Post:

It’s been a long, painful, and at times unbelievable, journey back for Eric LeGrand, but on Saturday the former Rutgers football player will lead the Scarlet Knights out of the tunnel and onto the field before Saturday’s game against West Virginia.

LeGrand suffered a two fractured vertebrae and was paralyzed from the neck down when he collided with and Army player during a game on Oct. 16, 2010.

After months of rehabilitation at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Mechanicsburg, Penn., the defensive tackle regained movement in his shoulders and feeling throughout his body.

LeGrand still has a long way to go in his recovery, but his progress to this point has been nothing short of remarkable.

The 21-year-old currently serves as an analyst on the Rutgers Radio Network and will be featured on ABC’s television broadcast of Saturday’s game.

God Alone...
