Hau'oli La Kalikimaka! Merry Christmas!

Native Catholic

Aloha! My name is Dallas Carter. I am a husband, father of 3,  small business owner, Catholic Apologist, the OLGC Young Adult Coordinator, and a lecturer in theology for the Diocese of Honolulu. I have my degree in Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville and my Master's from Chaminade University in Honolulu.

The Mission of NativeCatholic.com is to provide audio lectures, bible studies, and reflections on authentic Catholicism which are 100% faithful to the perennial Teaching and Tradition of the Church.

In 2012 I hope to fill NativeCatholic.com not only with much more audio/video catechesis but also with other audio and video from my travels around the islands to show the Catholic Faith alive here in Hawaii :)

One of my Patrons and the Saint to whom this blog is dedicated is Saint Damien of Molokai, SS.CC., He was a Roman Catholic priest from Belgium and member of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. He was canonized in 2009 by His Holiness Benedict XVI. St. Damien is well known for his ministry to people with leprosy, who had been placed under a quarantine on the island of Molokaʻi in the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi.

The following Video is from my journey to the Top-side of Molokai and then down to Kalaupapa and Kalawao in 2009, several months before St. Damien's canonization. An amazing experience.
