KofC Pro-life celebration, a prayer request, and other news from the office

All parishioners are encouraged to attend Wednesday night's K of C Pro-Life celebration at 7:30 in the Parish Hall.  Refreshments will be served; Sharon Schuhmann, Pro-Life Coordinator for the Archdiocese, will speak; and the poster contest awards will be presented.  Contact Ernie Beeson, 477-9054, if you have any questions.

We will burn last year's blessed palm on Sunday (the ashes are used to mark us on Ash Wednesday) - if you would like to bring yours in, please leave it outside the parish offices and we will add it to the "bundle."

Our parishioner Marilyn Stop has asked for your prayers.  Infection in her mouth and teeth have caused her to have some health issues, and she will have to have her teeth extracted to eliminate the infection.  Marilyn is in good spirits and is relieved that the infection had not spread to her heart.  She has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks, thinking at first that it was the flu.  Marilyn usually attends the Saturday evening Mass and is a strong believer in the power of prayer.  She told me just knowing that others are praying for her comforts her.  Please include her, along with our other parishioners who are ill, in your prayers.

Lastly, if you were not photographed for last year's directory, we would like you to sign up to have your picture made - the session is on Sunday March 4th.  There is no obligation to purchase photos, although the prices are very reasonable.  We will provide all parishioners with an updated page to place in your directory.  Contact Penny Burns if you have any questions - 477-6344.  The Directory is a great resource and we would really like to have all members included.

Many blessings on this St. Valentine's Day,

Diane
