News from the Parish Office

We ask that you keep in your prayers Mr. Frank Carnes, father of Becky Culver and Patti Patterson, who is hospitalized at SS. Mary & Elizabeth. Becky reported yesterday that he is some improved after kidney failure and other complications last week, but he is still seriously ill. Please remember Mr. Carnes, and others who are ill in our parish and community, in your thoughts and prayers.

The Community Baby Shower is this Friday and we have collected less than 20 packages of disposable diapers - although some of those can be split up. If you are able to bring a package or two to donate prior to Friday, we would appreciate it. You can drop them off during office hours, or - the church is open on Wednesday evening for prayers and again on Thursday morning for Mass. (Fr. Murphy will be the celebrant this week during Fr. Dale's absence.) You have responded so generously to our request for non-perishable food for our local food pantry and they are most grateful. This is an ongoing need.

Lastly, we are also collecting non-perishable food, toilet paper, diapers and baby food, personal hygiene products, and household soaps and cleaners for the Stewards of Appalachia. They will be going to Eastern KY on October 15th and will deliver these items then. There is a basket in the back of church near the cry room and a box outside the parish offices marked for these items.
