JAMES "JIM" H. BURNETT JR., 76, entered into rest on August 30, 2013.
He was a member of FOP #69, a retired Police Officer with the Housing Authority; Chief of Police with Minor Lane Heights; and Security at UPS.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charlie Burnett.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Burnett; daughter, Tami Patterson; sons, James Burnett and Vincent Burnett; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deacon Gerry Mattingly will preside at his funeral service at noon on Wednesday at W.G. Hardy Funeral Home, with burial following in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
