John Faulkner, 76, entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2014. John was a devout Catholic and an active lifetime member of St. Rita. He proudly served his country for 6 years in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he began working for G.E. as a Tool & Die maker. He later retired after 42 years. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Gail Faulkner; grandson, Wesley Faulkner; and brothers, Joseph and James “J.L.” Faulkner.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Alice Josephine “Jo”; children, John Jr. (Brooke Burke), Robin (Patrick White), Dan (Patty), Stephanie (Lonnie) Walker; grandchildren, Jeff, Nick, Ashley, Chase, Alex, Jon, Ally, Jada; siblings, Paul (Ruby), Helen (Norman) Bodenbender, Harold (Wilma), Joyce (Johnny) Morris, Gerald (Billy), Charles, Brenda (Larry) Conley, Doretha (Mike) Corbett, Doris (John) Jabaley; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
The funeral mass will be on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Visitation will be Friday 3-8 pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Okolona. Burial will be at St. Joseph in Bardstown, KY.
