Catholic Charities End of Life Care Workshop

Catholic Charities Senior Services' annual End of Life Care Discussion will be next Thursday evening September 25th at 7 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Adult Center, 508 Breckenridge Lane. 

All adults are invited to learn about the ethical, legal, and medical perspectives of this very important topic that will affect all of us and/or our loved ones at some point in our lives.  Younger adults especially need to understand the issues, as they are more likely to be in life-threatening accidents. 

Speakers are Fr. Tony Smith, Archdiocesan Ethicist,  Kevin Ford, Attorney and Dr John Sanders, Hosparus physician. 

 Issues to be discussed include advanced directives, living wills, Catholic guidelines on EOL, Do Not Resuscitate Orders, CPR, extraordinary measures, patients' expectations of medical technology & staff, palliative care and other topics.
