CHARLES E. "BENNIE" EVANS,81, of Louisville passed away Monday, November 8, 2010.
He was born December 9, 1928 in Louisville to the late Harvey Evans and Myrtle Lee Wright Evans. He was owner and president of Evans Construction, a Marine veteran, having served during the Korean conflict and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Catherine Joy Adams; son, Mark Evans (Ann); daughter, Lynda Farvour (Kenneth "Shorty"); five grandchildren, Brooke Evans, Ashlee Kent, Whitney Fortner and Bradley and Brandon Farvour and his brother, Harvey Evans, Jr. (Bobbie).
His funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Mercy Academy, 5801 Fegenbush Lane with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Pearson-Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Middletown.
Memorial gifts in the form of contributions may be made to Mercy Academy.
