The Survivors Parade presented by Kroger will again take place on Kentucky Oaks Day to show our fans’ support for breast cancer survivors. The parade will be made up of 137 breast cancer survivors who have been chosen through an online nomination and selection process. For the first time, guests may also submit an "In Memoriam" nomination to salute the memory of an individual who lost their courageous battle with breast cancer.
The chosen participants will receive two (2) tickets to the Kentucky Oaks as well as a lunch sponsored by Churchill Downs. Participants will participate in a stunning parade of pink around the Churchill Downs main track prior to the Oaks race.
The Survivors Parade was first hosted by Churchill Downs for Kentucky Oaks 135 and featured 135 survivors. You can watch live coverage of the Kentucky Oaks 137 Survivors Parade May 6 beginning at 5 p.m. EDT on NBC.

I admire all the ladies nominated for the Survivor's Parade and I am sure that they are all deserving.
But, Julie has shown such strength. She would be a role model and poster child for all that she endured this year.
Her faith has given her the strength to carry on when most people would give up.
It would be so wonderful to see Julie in the Breast Cancer Survivor's Parade at Churchill Downs on Kentucky Oaks Day, May 6, 2011
