Prayers requested..Deacon John Simmons

Your prayers are requested for Deacon John Simmons. Deacon John is in the Heart/Lung ICU at Jewish Hospital on a ventilator. He contracted pneumonia and it has gotten progressively worse. John had a 2nd bone marrow transplant several months ago to treat his cancer and his immune system is severely compromised.
Deacon John is 58 years old. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma a few years ago. Before his illness, Deacon John served at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Louisville. Deacon John and his wife, Claudette, have a grown daughter.

Please keep all of them in your prayers.

Also, I just got word that Deacon Phil Noltemeyer from our sister parish Saint Aloysius, Shepherdsville is back in the Hospital. The message from the Diaconate Office follows:

Prayers please for Deacon Phil Noltemeyer. He is back in Norton Suburban hospital as of 4 AM this morning. Deacon Phil was discharged a few days ago to wait for an infection to clear before surgery for kidney stones. It appears the infection has worsened with possible sepsis. Tests are being conducted.
Deacon Phil's wife,  Alice, passed this information to us. Please keep Alice and his family in your prayers, too.

Deacon Gerry
