“I was sick and you visited me”: It is very rewarding to see Christ in the faces of our nursing home residents. We are in great need of more people who can visit on Tuesday mornings. We gather in the dining room at Signature Health Care around 10:30, begin with the Rosary, readings, and a couple of hymns at 10:45, then visit the room-bound Catholics with Holy Communion until around noon when lunch is served. You will get more out of it than the residents do. Please join us if you can.
Liturgical Ministries: The January ministry schedule was mailed on Tuesday. Please make sure you get a substitute if you can’t serve at your appointed Mass. If you’re interested in volunteering for these ministries, contact the following people: altar servers, Bob Searcy or LaVielle Cecil; minister of the Word or extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, Deacon Gerry or Carl Fahringer; music minister, Hank Lawson or Mary Creed; hospitality minister, Darren Esterle. If you would like to be a gift bearer, simply sign the sheet on the table near the cry room. This ministry is open to all and especially good for families with children too young to participate in other ministries.
Stewardship Envelopes: If you have not picked up your 2011 stewardship envelopes, we ask that you do so from the table near the loft stairs. Please contact the parish office if you do not have a box or if there are corrections to be made. The 2010 letters will go out by January 31. We appreciate your cooperation and your generosity.
