This evening three parishes will be one as we gather to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with young people from our parish, from Saint Francis Xavier in Mt. Washington, and from Saint Aloysius Church in Shepherdsville. The Rite of Confirmation will be at 7 pm at Saint Francis Xavier Church.
I found this homily from a bishop in Iowa given in 2012 that captures the essence of the sacrament, and the challenge to all of the confirmed.
